Medium/MaterialsThe Norman Hallendy Collection of Canadian Arctic images consists of over 7,000 Kodachrome slides and 35mm colour images taken by Mr. Hallendy during many expeditions to the Arctic to interact with, observe, and document, traditional Inuit communities. Compiled since the late 1960s and organized into 34 folios, the images range in subject from inuksuit (stone figures), ancient and sacred sites, campsites, landscapes, seascapes and icebergs, and the natural environment, to the people of the Arctic-including many artists represented in the McMichael collections.
